He came closer, He brought his face close to mine. I turned my face towards the wall. "Nervous?" he asked. I nodded my head. He smiled and offered me his cigarette. "Are you nervous too?" He nodded and took the cigarette and kept it aside. It was still burning, like my dreams. He brought his lips closer, Perhaps to kiss me. My hand created the barrier, He kissed it. Along with his lips, His teardrops also touched my dying body. "Why? You don't even love me" I asked. "I love you." He said. A drop of tear rolled down my cheek, And finally, I slept peacefully.

"Behave." he said in a low tone, but the underlying anger can't be missed. "I am drunk, Vivaan. I don't need to behave. For just one night, I want to be real me. I want to be yours. I want to be your Ishiqa". I said with a smile. I can say anything tonight because I am drunk. The night is meant to be enjoyed, it is meant for pleasure and pain and a bit of happiness and a slight tint of sadness. A cocktail strong and dark enough to destroy everything. A night disastrous enough to erase my love for him. "Can you please walk straight? Don't create a scene and don't you dare cry. Your emotional drama is hard to bear. Do you understand that?" He mumbled while giving me support. I looked at his face which was devoid of emotions. He didn't feel for me, and it was quite evident in ...

Their eyes met from across the road. With lowered eyes and fear in her heart, she crossed the street to meet him finally. Their walk towards the India Gate was a silent one. Sitting beside each other, they talked in soft voices about general topics. They didn't have an eye contact during the entire conversation. On their way back, she gathered courage and peeked towards his direction. The first thought in her mind was that he was very tall. The setting sun was a reminder that they finally have to part ways. The day which they never wanted to end, has finally ended. He decided to drop her to the metro platform. Without even realizing, amidst the crowd, he held her hand and directed her safely towards the platform. Did she need the protection? Definitely, no but did it feel good? Definite...

'Should we order food?' he asked. 'Hmmm....' she said. 'But the internet isn't working. I don't have any number.' He said, in a confused tone. 'You can cook.' she suggested. She was unsure about the idea. He had just returned from his office. 'Hmm... Should I cook?' He asked. It seemed he was questioning himself. 'Yes. I think I should cook.' He continued after a minute. He went to the kitchen. She followed him. The kitchen wasn't in that good condition. The sink was filled with unwashed utensils. 'Room of a bachelor.' He said as if he had read the thoughts in her mind. 'You love peanut chocolate?' She asked when she spotted a bottle of peanut. A few months ago, he also handed her few peanut chocolates. 'Yeah.' he said. 'These are the stuff that I take.' He said, showing few...

I waved my hand to bid farewell to my mom. My brothers were still asleep. I closed my eyes to recall the happy moments that I have shared with this place. Leaving the place where you have spent your childhood is difficult. It makes you sad but still you can't ignore the feeling of excitement for starting a new life in a new place. I was keen to begin my fabulous new life. I sat down with my head pressed on the glass window of the car. I was watching the world beyond the glass, pass by. 'Have you checked everything?' enquired my dad. 'Yes.' I said with a weak smile. Finally, I was going to a place that will help me to understand what I really wanted from life. I was heading towards Delhi, the heart of our India. After around twenty minutes, we arrived at the railway station. The...

'Don't you think we should take our relationship a step forward?' Ishiqa asked while adjusting her dress. 'Which relationship?' Vivaan retorted. Ishiqa looked at Vivaan and moved out of the room. She poured chilled water into the glass and stood blankly. After a moment or two, she returned and handed him the glass. 'Have it.' she said and sat beside him. She observed him quietly, while he gulped the whole water. She handed him his shirt. 'Is there a future of the things that are going between us?' she asked. 'Don't start that topic again. I gave you the explanation again and again. But still, you are not willing to understand anything. Are you hungry?' he said, in an irritated tone. 'Are you going to cook something for me?' she asked with a smile. 'You really think so?' he ...

I met Vivaan on 24 January at around 4:30 pm. He is the guy with whom I want to make an emotional attachment. To be honest, I wanted to risk my feelings again. There, near the gate, he was on his bike in a blue shirt. On seeing him, I felt awkward, uneasy but still I pretended to be okay. I was nervous for no apparent reason. I led him to my room. An awkward silence was present. I wanted it to end. He was hungry. He wanted to go out. I was not in a mood to go outside. I wanted to talk. I asked him to stay inside.I told him that I tried to make rajma but failed. He smiled and didn't say anything. None of us were able to start a proper conversation. He asked me to get ready. "Should I go outside and wait?" He asked. "No, I shall change in the kitchen," I said. I collected my clothes and c...
